The eastern company of coastal engineering, by abbreviation SOTRAMEST, is a public joint-stock company (SPA) created by an executive decree of 50/80 JORA n 9 of 23/02/1980 with a nominal capital of 160.000.000.00 AD. Its head office is in Annaba , 6 Med Seddik BENYAHIA street PO box166.
Actually its main zone activity is centered in the port of Algiers (Ain Benian, Jetee Kheireddine), the north and in the east, Bejaia, Skikda, Annaba and El Kala.
 


Achievements
Ore carrier quay for 300 ml in Annaba , in 1980.
Iaying out of Stora fishing port in Skikda ( from 1980 up to 1985).
Construction of a quay for 290 ml in Skikda ( from 1981 up to 1985).
Construction of a quay «phosphate» in Annaba , in 1988.
Construction of the fishing port ANSE (la grenouillère) in Annaba , in 1988.
Encroaching of the southwestern quay and the widening of abdelkader pass in Bejaia, in 1991.
Laying out of a fishing shelter in El Marsa, in 1992.
Laying out of a tugs post in Annaba , in 1994.
Construction of a container and roro terminal in Annaba , in 1995.
Construction of two jetties to protect Annaba from flood in 1995.
Provisional then definitif repairing of the musoir of Skikda in 1999.
Protection engineering on the abutment of Tishy and frustrum of Aokas in Bejaia, in 1999. Construction of an EPI as a protection from the silting up of El Marsa port in Skikda, in 2001.
Confortement of the “Kheireddine” jetty in Algiers port (under way since2001).
Construction of “Djemila” fishing port in Algiers (under way since 2002).
Expansion of the fishing port ANSE “Grenouillère” in Annaba (under way since 2004).
Protection of Ziralda beach (under way since 2004).
Completion of the construction of El Kala fishing port in El Taref (under way since 2005). Encroaching of the old fishing port quay in Skikda (under way since 2005).
